When you want a fun-packed vacation, with lots to see or do, you should choose Disneyland or DisneyWorld in Florida. During peak season they both have nightly entertainment, and on the off-season, they both offer weekend entertainment. You'll enjoy the special occasion entertainment on Christmas and the Fourth of July, as well. Get a FastPass to Get More Out of Your Disneyland Vacation You don't want to spend your entire Disneyland Vacation standing in long lines. This can be avoided by using Disneyland FastPass. FastPass can be obtained from machines located near the rides that accept FastPass. In this way you can get a time when you return to the ride at a certain time and at which point you would move to the front of the line. While waiting for that time to occur, you can go and enjoy the other rides and entertainment. When you obtain a FastPass ticket, you will be given a one hour time in which to enjoy the ride. For instance, your FastPass ticket may say 11am to 12pm. This means that you can show up and move to the front of the line between the hours of 11am and 12pm. You must have your Disneyland ticket in order to obtain a FastPass ticket. At Disneyland, FastPasses are available for Indiana Jones, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Roger Rabbits Cartoon Spin, Autopia, Space Mountain, and Buzz Lightyear. Included in your admission price is free seating at Fantasmic, a show taking place on Tom Sawyer's Island. This fun show has music and fireworks and features popular characters. You can purchase tickets for better seating, as well, but get them early. When at Disneyland, don't forget to catch one of the two shows of The Parade of Dreams. This parade has large floats beautifully decorated and many Disney characters will be on board. Three times the whole parade stops and a great choreographed show happens. Don't miss seeing the Snow White musical in Fantasyland Theater. You won't need reservations for the show since it happens several times through the day. If you or your kids love Snow White, be sure to be there. Above are just a few of the great shows to experience at Disneyland on your vacation. There is always something new and exciting, but be sure to go to the late-night fireworks show. Before the park closes you should most definitely see these fantastic fireworks, loved by grownups and children alike. If you want to leave earlier and return to your hotel, you will still be able to see them out of your hotel window if you're lucky to be on that side. The best place to view them, however, is right in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle. And on the Fourth of July, be prepared for the greatest show ever! You may also want to inquire about special events during specific months, so that you can plan your stay at Disneyland for those days. Most entertainment is provided free of charge, and is part of your admission price. However, special seating, or priority seating usually requires a fee, as well as a reservation.
