Always active with lots to do and see, you will enjoy your Disneyland or DisneyWorld in Florida vacation at any time of year. There is plenty of entertainment every night during the peak season, with weekend entertainment in the off-seasons. Of course thre is always very special entertainment during holidays such as the Christmas and the Fourth of July. Get More Out of Your Disneyland Vacation With FastPass You don't want to spend your entire Disneyland Vacation standing in long lines. This can be avoided by using Disneyland FastPass. FastPass can be obtained from machines located near the rides that accept FastPass. You won't go to the front of the line right away but will schedule a time to return, at which point you will move to the front and avoid waiting. Meanwhile you can go and enjoy other rides and fun in the park. You have a whole hour leeway in arriving at the ride for which you have a FastPass. In other words, if your time says 12pm to 1pm, you can return to the ride anytime between 12 and 1 to move to the front of the line. In order to get your FastPass, you must have your Disneyland ticket available. At Disneyland, FastPasses are available for Indiana Jones, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Roger Rabbits Cartoon Spin, Autopia, Space Mountain, and Buzz Lightyear. Fantasmic is held twice each night during the peak season, and on weekends during the off-season. The show takes place on Tom Sawyer's Island, and features many characters, music, and fireworks. For the best seating possible, purchase tickets for Fantasmic in advance, but note that free seating is also available, and is included in your Disneyland park admission price. When at Disneyland, don't forget to catch one of the two shows of The Parade of Dreams. This parade has large floats beautifully decorated and many Disney characters will be on board. Three times the whole parade stops and a great choreographed show happens. In the Fantasyland Theater, you can see a musical of Snow White. This show is held several times throughout the day. This show should not be missed especially if you love Snow White. Since the show is held several times each day, reservations are not necessary. Only a few of the shows you can see at Disneyland are mentioned, and entertainment goes on constantly, with always new things coming along. But you can always count on the fireworks show on your Disneyland vacation! It happens every night just before the closing of the park for the day. Don't miss it. Even if you can't stay for the fireworks, you can probably see them out of your hotel window! Try to get a view of the Fireworks from in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle for the greatest effect. The fireworks on the Fourth of July are out of this world. You can plan your trip around the special shows and events at Disneyland by checking out the Disneyland website or calling the park or checking with your travel agent. Or you can see what will be happening there if you already have the dates of your vacation picked out. Whichever way you go, you won't lack for things to entertain you and your family. Most entertainment is provided free of charge, and is part of your admission price. However, special seating, or priority seating usually requires a fee, as well as a reservation. Some events require an admission price that is separate from your park admission.Again, check the website, call the park, or discuss events and fees with your travel agent when planning your Disneyland vacation.
