When you want a fun-packed vacation, with lots to see or do, you should choose Disneyland or DisneyWorld in Florida. During peak season they both have nightly entertainment, and on the off-season, they both offer weekend entertainment. You'll enjoy the special occasion entertainment on Christmas and the Fourth of July, as well. Get More Out of Your Disneyland Vacation With FastPass Avoid long lines with FastPass. Simply go to the machines near the rides that accept this pass and stop spending all the time of your visit waiting in line. This doesn't mean that you get to immediately move to the front of the line. It is more like scheduling an appointment for the ride later in the day at which time you actually will move to the front of the line. In the meantime, you are free to go enjoy other sites and rides around the park. When you obtain a FastPass ticket, you will be given a one hour time in which to enjoy the ride. For instance, your FastPass ticket may say 11am to 12pm. This means that you can show up and move to the front of the line between the hours of 11am and 12pm. You must have your Disneyland ticket in order to obtain a FastPass ticket. You can get FastPasses at Disneyland for the rides Roger Rabbits Cartoon Spin, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and many more of the most popular rides. Fantasmic is held twice each night during the peak season, and on weekends during the off-season. The show takes place on Tom Sawyer's Island, and features many characters, music, and fireworks. For the best seating possible, purchase tickets for Fantasmic in advance, but note that free seating is also available, and is included in your Disneyland park admission price. When at Disneyland, don't forget to catch one of the two shows of The Parade of Dreams. This parade has large floats beautifully decorated and many Disney characters will be on board. Three times the whole parade stops and a great choreographed show happens. You will love to catch the musical of Snow White in the Fantasyland Theater. It is held a number of times every day so you won't need reservations. Above are just a few of the great shows to experience at Disneyland on your vacation. There is always something new and exciting, but be sure to go to the late-night fireworks show. Before the park closes you should most definitely see these fantastic fireworks, loved by grownups and children alike. When you watch the fireworks, try to catch the view from the front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle. But if you have to leave earlier, you may still be able to see them from your hotel. And if you are at Disneyland on the Fourth of July, well, you will just have to experience it to believe it! You can plan your trip around the special shows and events at Disneyland by checking out the Disneyland website or calling the park or checking with your travel agent. Or you can see what will be happening there if you already have the dates of your vacation picked out. Whichever way you go, you won't lack for things to entertain you and your family. Most entertainment is provided free of charge, and is part of your admission price. However, special seating, or priority seating usually requires a fee, as well as a reservation. Some events require an admission price that is separate from your park admission.Again, check the website, call the park, or discuss events and fees with your travel agent when planning your Disneyland vacation.
