There is always something to see or do at Disneyland or DisneyWorld in Florida, but Disneyland and DisneyWorld adds to this with nightly entertainment during the peak season, and weekend entertainment during the off-season. There is also special entertainment during special occasions, such as the Fourth of July and Christmas. Get a FastPass to Get More Out of Your Disneyland Vacation Get FastPass to avoid the long lines where you can end up spending all your valuable time. You can get these at machines by the rides that accept FastPass. This doesn't mean that you get to immediately move to the front of the line. It is more like scheduling an appointment for the ride later in the day at which time you actually will move to the front of the line. In the meantime, you are free to go enjoy other sites and rides around the park. In order to get a FastPass ticket, you must have your Disneyland ticket. But once you get FastPass for the ride you want, it will give you an hour's time frame in which to come and move to the front of the line, for example from 11am to 12pm or 3pm to 4pm. As long as you arrive within that time, you can go to the front of the line of that ride. You can get FastPasses at Disneyland for the rides Roger Rabbits Cartoon Spin, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and many more of the most popular rides. Included in your admission price is free seating at Fantasmic, a show taking place on Tom Sawyer's Island. This fun show has music and fireworks and features popular characters. You can purchase tickets for better seating, as well, but get them early. The Parade of Dreams features large colorful floats accompanied by many Characters. This parade takes place twice each day. During the parade, the entire parade will stop three times to do a choreographed show, and most of the Disney Characters are portrayed in the Parade of Dreams. You will love to catch the musical of Snow White in the Fantasyland Theater. It is held a number of times every day so you won't need reservations. Above are just a few of the great shows to experience at Disneyland on your vacation. There is always something new and exciting, but be sure to go to the late-night fireworks show. Before the park closes you should most definitely see these fantastic fireworks, loved by grownups and children alike. If you want to leave earlier and return to your hotel, you will still be able to see them out of your hotel window if you're lucky to be on that side. The best place to view them, however, is right in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle. And on the Fourth of July, be prepared for the greatest show ever! You can plan your trip around the special shows and events at Disneyland by checking out the Disneyland website or calling the park or checking with your travel agent. Or you can see what will be happening there if you already have the dates of your vacation picked out. Whichever way you go, you won't lack for things to entertain you and your family. Most entertainment is provided free of charge, and is part of your admission price. However, special seating, or priority seating usually requires a fee, as well as a reservation. Some events require an admission price that is separate from your park admission.Again, check the website, call the park, or discuss events and fees with your travel agent when planning your Disneyland vacation.
