There is always something to see or do at Disneyland or DisneyWorld in Florida, but Disneyland and DisneyWorld adds to this with nightly entertainment during the peak season, and weekend entertainment during the off-season. There is also special entertainment during special occasions, such as the Fourth of July and Christmas. Get More Out of Your Disneyland Vacation With FastPass Get FastPass to avoid the long lines where you can end up spending all your valuable time. You can get these at machines by the rides that accept FastPass. This doesn't mean that you get to immediately move to the front of the line. It is more like scheduling an appointment for the ride later in the day at which time you actually will move to the front of the line. In the meantime, you are free to go enjoy other sites and rides around the park. In order to get a FastPass ticket, you must have your Disneyland ticket. But once you get FastPass for the ride you want, it will give you an hour's time frame in which to come and move to the front of the line, for example from 11am to 12pm or 3pm to 4pm. As long as you arrive within that time, you can go to the front of the line of that ride. You can get FastPasses at Disneyland for the rides Roger Rabbits Cartoon Spin, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and many more of the most popular rides. Included in your admission price is free seating at Fantasmic, a show taking place on Tom Sawyer's Island. This fun show has music and fireworks and features popular characters. You can purchase tickets for better seating, as well, but get them early. When at Disneyland, don't forget to catch one of the two shows of The Parade of Dreams. This parade has large floats beautifully decorated and many Disney characters will be on board. Three times the whole parade stops and a great choreographed show happens. You will love to catch the musical of Snow White in the Fantasyland Theater. It is held a number of times every day so you won't need reservations. Only a few of the shows you can see at Disneyland are mentioned, and entertainment goes on constantly, with always new things coming along. But you can always count on the fireworks show on your Disneyland vacation! It happens every night just before the closing of the park for the day. Don't miss it. Even if you can't stay for the fireworks, you can probably see them out of your hotel window! Try to get a view of the Fireworks from in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle for the greatest effect. The fireworks on the Fourth of July are out of this world. Go to the Disneyland website or call the park to find out if there are special happenings when you plan to be there. Your travel agent can also check into this. Or you can simply find out when popular shows are going to happen, and plan your trip with those in mind. Much of the entertainment is free at Disneyland, and part of the price you pay for admission.
